Important Notice Regarding Third-Party Store Acceptance and Current Barcode Policies, Past and Present

Speedy Barcodes guarantees that every barcode sold is authentic, unique, and was originally issued by GS1 before the 2002 UCC settlement, which means they are legal for resale and use. However, Speedy Barcodes cannot promise acceptance by any third-party retailer, online marketplace, distributor, fulfillment provider, or store chain, since each company sets its own product-listing requirements, seller policies, barcode rules, and internal verification processes. Over time, many marketplaces and retailers have changed, updated, or even retroactively revised their barcode policies. Some companies that once accepted verified reseller barcodes may now require barcodes to be purchased directly from GS1 by the current brand owner. These choices are made solely by the retailer or marketplace and can change at any time without warning.

Examples of major retailers, warehouse clubs, home improvement stores, electronics retailers, sporting goods retailers, discount stores, department stores, home goods stores, and furniture retailers whose barcode acceptance policies may differ include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Online marketplaces and mass merchants: Amazon, Walmart, Target, Meijer, and Fred Meyer.
• Warehouse clubs: Costco Wholesale, Sam's Club, and BJ's Wholesale Club.
• Home improvement and hardware retailers: The Home Depot, Lowe's, and Menards.
• Electronics and office retailers: Best Buy, Office Depot, and OfficeMax.
• Sporting goods and outdoor retailers: Dick's Sporting Goods, Bass Pro Shops, and Cabela's.
• Craft, hobby, apparel, department, and off-price retailers: Hobby Lobby, T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Ross Stores, Burlington, Big Lots, Nordstrom Rack, and Kohl's.
• Furniture and home retailers: IKEA.

There are an estimated 1 million physical brick-and-mortar retail stores in the United States and roughly 15 million to 20 million physical retail stores worldwide in which your barcodes will work. Many independent stores, regional retailers, distributors, wholesalers, and other sales channels may accept Speedy Barcodes if their own policies allow it. Acceptance is not guaranteed everywhere, and the number of stores that may accept reseller barcodes can shift as retailers update their requirements.

Because Speedy Barcodes has no influence over the internal business decisions, policy changes, catalog systems, marketplace algorithms, brand registry requirements, or barcode acceptance rules used by companies like Amazon, Walmart, Target, Costco Wholesale, The Home Depot, Lowe's, Best Buy, or any other third-party retailer, Speedy Barcodes cannot be held responsible if a retailer, marketplace, or sales channel chooses not to accept reseller barcodes now or in the future. As a result, no refunds, store credits, exchanges, or barcode replacements will be provided for barcodes that become incompatible, restricted, rejected, or unusable due to policy changes, seller-account requirements, marketplace restrictions, brand-owner rules, retailer decisions, or any other third-party rule changes. This no-refund, no-store-credit, no-exchange, and no-replacement policy applies to barcode purchases past present and future.

It is the buyer’s sole responsibility to check the current barcode requirements of each intended retailer, marketplace, distributor, wholesaler, or sales channel before purchasing barcodes from Speedy Barcodes. Buyers should confirm acceptance directly with the specific company or platform where they plan to sell their products, since requirements may vary by retailer, product category, seller account, brand status, and listing method.
